Utilized Building Information Modeling (BIM) techniques to provide valued input during pre-construction planning and services including schedule development, constructability reviews, cost reduction assistance, sustainability study assistance, and equipment selection assistance. Provide all electrical construction for 1,000,000 square foot, 9-story, acute care tower including an emergency/trauma center with (53) treatment rooms, (10) trauma stations, (336) new beds along with (84) future beds, and (30) operating rooms. Project includes installation of normal power consisting of (2) 35 kV circuits; essential and emergency power consisting of (6) 2000 kW, 4160V, diesel emergency generators; UPS; lighting; and fire alarm including voice evacuation notification. The construction process is utilizing VELA field construction management software. This project is expected to obtain LEED 2.2 Gold designation at its completion.

Electrical construction of 168,000 sqft three floor Science and Technology Building which contains science labs, classrooms, computer labs and department offices. Power is brought to the building through the new 15kV 4-way primary switch, 2000kVA primary transformer and the 3000A MDP. Emergency power is fed from the 800kW generator which can be tested with the 400kW load bank. Systems include lightning protection and fire alarm. Conduit for Comm, Security and A/V systems is also being installed. This was a full 3D modeled project with clash detection and coordination with all trades. The model was used to gain Trimble points for layout and prefab of feeder conduits, wall rough-in and overhead racks.

Northside ISD Competitive Sports Gymnasium is an 88,000 sqft. facility with 2,500 spectator seats. Tasked to design and enhancement the existing A/V system. Includes the installation of (1) audio signal processor with BLU link and Dante communication. Included adding (6) 8-port network PoE switches with fiber SFP modules for the Dante audio system, adding (1) 24-port analog audio patch bay to allow all audio cables in one central location, added (1) wall-mounted punch-down block for intercom communication, added (1) 24×24-port matrix switcher, to bring all camera locations to a central location to allow the ability to send camera feeds to a Tri-Caster, as well as the big screen. Included installing (1) hardwired control panel and processor to allow for control from the administration location for sending and receiving camera feeds. Included all associated cabling, programming, and testing.

Details:

Hospital renovation of an existing 4913 sqft. lab and  old ER renovation space, as well as a new 5819 sqft. ER expansion on first floor.  Temporary ambulatory canopy bypass during construction, and new permanent canopy.  New parking lot lighting and parking spaces where expanded to an additional 95 vehicles. The ER expansion consisted of eight new exam rooms, one isolation room, one new trauma room, two new low acuity rooms, one new CT imaging unit, nursing support areas, and a large waiting area.  All work in the lab and ER renovation areas was done in coordination with the staff as to not affect the operation of the labs.
